It’s Winchester’s® powerhouse bolt-action, in a Grade 1 Turkish walnut stock: traditional, durable, aesthetically pleasing, and more sturdy and stable than plastic. It displays a crisp checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end, and flattened fore-end profile improves stability. A steel recoil lug is inletted into the stock to prevent the receive from twisting under recoil, for more reliable and predictable long-range accuracy.

Features include a MOA Trigger System with zero take-up, zero creep, and zero overtravel, for outstanding accuracy. The bolt unlock button allows the chamber to be unloaded with the thumb safety in the on safe position. The bolt body operates smoother and is corrosion-resistant thanks to a nickel Teflon coating. Perma-Cote matte black metal surfaces help prevent corrosion, and minimize glare. The receiver is machined from solid steel bar stock, and through-hardened during heat treating for longer life and enhanced accuracy.

The detachable box magazine is a single-stack design, constructed from a rugged, reliable polymer. Recoil is reduced from the Inflex technology recoil pad. Two-position thumb safety and a cocking indicator show the safety status at a glance or by feel. The button-rifled, free-floating steel barrel is thermally stress-relieved, then precisely aligned and headspaced during assembly via the barrel nut. A recessed target crown protects the muzzle rifling from wear and impact damage, to help maintain greater accuracy.
