The next generation of the Backcountry family, the Backcountry 2.0 Ti is still equipped with a super-thin and supremely lightweight fluted barrel, but is specifically built around an ultra-strong Titanium Weatherby® Mark V action, with some key updates.

The Backcountry 2.0 Ti action is left as raw Titanium, to show off the precision machining, while the barrel and bolt are sealed under a protective black ceramic Cerakote shell. To complement the barreled action, the new Blacktooth stock sports a striking white and grey pattern, breaking up its lines. Sourced from Peak 44, this stock has the distinction of being the lightest produced aerospace-grade carbon fibre stock on the market, with industry-leading manufacturing techniques and patented bedding technology. Also grabbing the eye is the second-generation 3DHEX recoil pad, the first-ever 3D printed recoil pad. Hidden inside are a series of interlocking voids that progressively collapse during recoil, expanding the timing of the recoil impulse, and deadening the sharp kick of magnums.

A more pronounced spiral fluting on the bolt body reduces bearing surface within the action, resulting in a lighter weight and smoother function. The newly-threaded bolt handle features a lightweight aluminum extended skeletonized knob. A 54-degree bolt (shorter than the typical 90-degree bolt) allows for faster chambering on follow-up shots and greater bolt-to-scope clearance. A large-radius deeper flute not only trims a bit more weight from the bolt body of the Mark V, it also increases the smoothness with which the bolt can be cycled. Allowing for customization and utility, the bolt handle is now threaded, to accept a variety of bolt knobs. Fit with the Accubrake ST, this highly-effective brake is blended to match the muzzle profile. With 30 symmetrically-spaced ports that help harness recoil, it tames even magnum chamberings.

The rebated rim helps achieve the desired velocity and energy, while remaining compatible with the Weatherby 6-lug action. This combination offers maximum downrange performance in the lightest rifle possible.
